• United Kingdom: £40K–£75K/year

• Netherlands: €50K–€75K/year
• Portugal: €25K–€45K/year
• India: ₹6L–₹25L+/year

These numbers are useful for comparison, but they don’t tell the full story.

Your salary is influenced by much more than geography.

Factors include:

• Portfolio quality
• Product thinking
• Communication
• Domain expertise
• Company stage

A designer who consistently solves meaningful product problems and communicates effectively will often create more opportunities regardless of location.

Another important consideration is quality of life.

A higher salary may also come with:

• Visa requirements
• Different growth opportunities

Instead of asking only, “Which country pays more?”

Try asking:

“Which environment will help me become a better designer?”
