Every startup begins with uncertainty.

An idea.
A question.
A problem worth solving.

Six months ago, UX Crumbs was simply a thought.

Today, that thought is becoming a product.

This week’s progress wasn’t defined by flashy UI or impressive metrics.

Instead, it was defined by conversations.

Building for a Real Problem

When we first started UX Crumbs, one question kept coming back.

Why is learning UX still so overwhelming?

Thousands of resources exist.

Courses.
Bootcamps.
YouTube videos.
Blogs.

Yet many aspiring designers still struggle to land jobs or feel confident in real product environments.

That became the problem we wanted to solve.

Not teaching more theory.

Teaching practical product thinking.

Community Validation

This week, 30 designers joined the UX Crumbs waitlist.

For some startups, that number might seem small.

For us, every signup represents something much bigger.

A person who believes there’s room for a better way to learn UX.

We’re not chasing vanity metrics.

We’re validating whether we’re solving a meaningful problem.

Listening Before Building

One of our biggest priorities this week was user research.

We conducted three interviews with aspiring UX designers.

Interestingly, almost everyone described similar pain points.

They weren’t struggling because UX concepts were too difficult.

They struggled because translating theory into practice felt impossible.

The recurring themes included:

  • Creating stronger portfolio case studies.
  • Explaining design decisions.
  • Collaborating with developers.
  • Preparing for interviews.
  • Understanding hiring expectations.

These insights now influence every roadmap decision.

Instead of building features based on assumptions, we’re building them around real experiences.

Shipping an MVP

We also finalised the scope for Version One.

Rather than trying to build every feature imaginable, we focused on essentials.

The MVP includes:

  • Interactive lessons
  • XP progression
  • Hearts system
  • Daily streaks
  • Progress tracking
  • Core learning experience
  • Waitlist flow

Every feature has one simple requirement.

If it doesn’t help someone become a better Product Designer, it doesn’t belong in Version One.

Building in Public Works

Another interesting insight came from analytics.

Most of our traffic originated from LinkedIn.

That reinforced something we’ve believed since day one.

Building in public isn’t simply marketing.

It’s research.

It’s community.

It’s accountability.

It’s trust.

Every conversation improves the product before launch.

What’s Next?

The coming weeks are focused on:

  • Completing MVP development.
  • Conducting more interviews.
  • Beginning internal testing.
  • Growing our waitlist.

Building products isn’t about pretending to have every answer.

It’s about asking better questions.

Listening carefully.

Improving continuously.

UX Crumbs is still in its earliest chapter.

But every week makes us more confident that we’re building something designers genuinely need.

If you’re learning UX today, we’d genuinely love to hear your story.

Because great products aren’t built for communities.

They’re built with communities.
