But simply having AI doesn’t automatically make your UX process better.

Your judgment matters more.
Start with a better prompt
Instead of:
“Help me design an app.”
Try:
Role + Context + Task + Constraints + Output
This gives AI enough information to understand the job instead of guessing what you mean.
Use AI throughout the UX process
AI can support:
- UX research
- User analysis
- Personas
- Jobs-to-be-Done
- User flows
- Information architecture
- UX writing
- UI critique
- Ideation
- Product thinking
- Accessibility
- Portfolio storytelling
- Interview practice
But there’s one important rule:
Explore. Don’t outsource.
AI can generate possibilities.
You still need to apply your design judgment.
And you still need to validate the result.
The UX AI Loop
Context → Explore → Challenge → Decide → Validate → Iterate
Give AI the situation.
Ask it to explore possibilities.
Challenge assumptions.
Make the design decision yourself.
Validate with users, data and accessibility checks.
Then iterate.
AI should accelerate your thinking — not replace it.
That’s the difference between using AI as a shortcut and using it as a design thinking partner.
